WWW Wednesday #26 ~ 13-4-2022
Evening~~
Welcome all to a new WWW Wednesday!
So far an OK week~ Visited Library #1 today, enjoyed the weather… and found a new baby hamster! Yes, I feel it is a bit soon, but I also felt that, because of the way Yuki passed away, that it was getting a hamster now… or maybe not getting one for a long time. We haven’t decided on a name just yet! She is supertiny and superadorable. Cannot wait to see her grow up and get used to us. Eep!
About WWW Wednesdays: WWW WednesdayΒ is a meme hosted by Sam ofΒ Taking on a World of Words. It is a fun way to show readers what you are reading, what you finished, what you want to read next.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think youβll read next?
I started a bit of this yesterday evening before bed and hoping to pick it up today when I am heading to bed, because I just haven’t had the time today. So busy! But so far it is fun, I am also liking the villain POV that is added. Sometimes it just doesn’t work, but Barry is craycray and it works. I love the boyband stuff and also love that there is a machine to make them.. well if you have the materials. XDΒ
I finished this one! It was tons of fun and I love that it took place on a jungle cruise! Featuring shrimps, birds, talking animals, and more! I really like the extras that were included in the book (excerpts from notebooks and such). And the art! This time green was the main colour.
This one! It sounds so awesome, OK, this author’s books are a bit hit/miss. I wasn’t such a fan of her first one (Between Shades of Gray), but did really like Salt to the Sea. I do love historical fiction and I haven’t seen a lot of books about this time-period, so I am very curious. Also loving the cover~

The Fountains of Silence looks fantastic! I love historical fiction as well as historical fantasy (the cover is stunning!). I am happy I found your blog as I am always looking for new book recommendations and I am sick of going after “best seller lists” – meh!
I recently finished a historical fantasy series that I found while book blog searching called “The Forerunner” by Jay Veloso Batista (https://www.jayvelosobatista.com/). I really liked the show Vikings that was on TV, and this is like a more elaborate and in-depth version of it. It is a three-book grand Viking adventure series that includes elements of Norse mythology and the supernatural. Something that really fascinated me was the “vardoger” curse. It is essentially someone’s own personal poltergeist, bound to them forever. I was educated, entertained and I found a new author I really enjoy. I found myself googling some of the mythology when I was finished to see how much was true and the Norsemen belief system was/is fascinating! The author really did an excellent job at keeping things balanced with bits of humor, horror, supernatural suspense and action.
Hope you and your readers will check it out! Happy Reading
