Welcome to a new Waiting on Wednesday! Whoo! Today another horror book that I am eagerly waiting for and that is set to be released September 6th: The Gathering Dark!

I just LOVE LOVE anthologies, you get a whole wide range of everything. And I am very curious about these writers. They are all pretty new to me, except for Chloe Gong (I read a short story by her), so I am excited to find some new authors to love and I am very curious what kind of folk horror they will bring in their story. Eep! And the blurb just sounds absolutely epic. I mean, isolated bridge with a terrifying monster? Yes! A lake that allows drowned peeps to return… but different. OH YES! Though I guess I have to wait just a bit longer as I kind of want to wait until October comes around! This would be a perfect read for my Spooktober TBR!

And I am absolutely LOVING that cover. Haha, though I guess I won’t see much of it as there is only a Kindle/ebook or hardcover coming out for now, and I just want a paperback. But maybe if I read the Kindle and it is good enough… I can add the book to my collection and look at the cover even more!
