End of The Year Book Tag! 2022 Edition!

Hello!

A warm welcome to the End of the Year Book Tag 2022 Edition! It is that time again and I am still wondering when did it become November? When did it become the end of the year? Just like last year, I am just so confuddled over how fast the year has passed by.

Just like last year, let’s see what books I was eager to read (new releases) in 2021’s tag. Fine Print (read this one and it was fantastic, though a bit confusing with all the POVs), Hometown Haunts (sadly still overpriced on Amazon and often not even available), Killer Content (tried and wasn’t a fan). And as for the book I wanted to read? Well, I read that one! It was fantastic! As expected!

1. Are there any books you started this year you need to finish?

Quoting my answer from last year and that year before that: “Nope. I generally finish books quite soon after I started them. Unless I DNF-ed but then I am also not getting back to them. 😛”

2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?

Same for every year, still no autumnal books for me. I just read what I want. Though I do have a special TBR for the month October, aka Spooktober. Check out what I read this year here: Spooktober TBR.

3. Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Yep! Still waiting for a couple of books. Amazon’s prices SOARED this year and it hasn’t been easy. Often I will just have to wait months before I can get a new release because it is either unavailable when it comes out… or it is so expensive.
So here are some new releases that I hope to read one day:
Find a Missing Star (SpongeBob SquarePants Mysteries #1) by Nickelodeon, Dave Lewman, Francesco Francavilla, Mystery, Children's Books, Spongebob Squarepants, SquidwardThe Gathering Dark: An Anthology of Folk Horror by Tori Bovalino (Goodreads Author) (Editor), Alex Brown (Goodreads Author), Olivia Chadha (Goodreads Author), Chloe Gong (Goodreads Author), Courtney Gould (Goodreads Author), Aden Polydoros (Goodreads Author), Allison Saft (Goodreads Author), Shakira Toussaint, Erica Waters (Goodreads Author), Hannah F. Whitten, Horror, Scary, Anthology, Folk, Short Stories, Fantasy, Young Adult, LGBT, Orange, Shadows, Houses,Wow in the World: Wow in the Wild: The Amazing World of Animals by Mindy Thomas, Guy Raz, Jack Teagle, Green, Science, Animals, Humour, Children's BooksFever Knights: Official Fake Strategy Guide by Adam Ellis

4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

I got two books I got from my Kindle (May and October) that I really would love to get started on before the end of the year. One will be fine as I am in the mood for something silly, but the other may be a bit hard as I am just not in the spooky mood after a whole month in October with mostly spookies. Same goes for the one paperback I still have on my shelves since October, it is a spooky book.
Why Odin Drinks (Why Odin Drinks #1) by Bjørn Larssen, Gods, Humour, Drinking, Questions, FunnyThe Creeper A.M. Shine, HorrorMina and the Slayers (Mina and the Undead #2) by Amy McCaw, Purple, Castle, Vampires, Horror, Fantasy, Young Adult

5. Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your FAVORITE?

Easily. As I say each year, there is still a full month and then also two weeks. So I got plenty of books I can still read and discover. I recently bought a new stack of books and I am sure there is something in there that could shock me, and otherwise I am sure there will be other books!

6. Have you already made reading plans for 2022?

As with each year. No. I don’t make reading plans. I will read what I will read. Like what I like. Dislike what I dislike (or DNF if it is really terrible). I don’t like to set goals. The only reason why I have a GR goal is so I can easily go to my 2022 books if I want (because GR definitely didn’t make that one easy for peeps). I am not one for readathons (generally at least). Other than a weekly TBR, which is already hard to keep with, I don’t do TBR. Least of all a yearly. Books will come to me, either by buying them, authors wanting to give me a copy, or by visiting one of my libraries. Whatever comes will come.

And that is it for this year’s End of the Year Book Tag! It was great fun to do this one again! I cannot wait to see what next year will bring! Wish me luck on the books I hope to read, especially those spooky ones, wish me a spooky mood. XD And hope for me that those books I want are available before the end of the year, or soon after. I would really love them! Let me know in the comments what your plans are + what you are waiting for! Thank you all for reading~ 😍
