Spell the Month in Books February 2023
Afternoon all~
Welcome to a new Spell the Month in Books!! This time February~
And haha, I should like this one more because it is the month I was born in, but seriously, I am done with these long-ass month names. XD March!! Come to me!! So it wasn’t always easy to find things. For one R and the U I went with authors and for the Y? I just decided to go for a place holder as I couldn’t find any authors that started or ended with an Y nor any book titles. And I was just done after trying my hardest to find all these letters already.
Note on the books, 3 are books I have myself (physical TBR), 1 is a book to review, 1 is from the library and 2 books I need to buy ASAP.
Since I still don’t have all the books (longing to those shorter months) once again we will just get the books + blurb!

In her debut collection, Theresa Braun explores the inner workings of the human heart and what it is we most desire—forgiveness, acceptance, love, fame, or merely to escape who we really are. Whether we are battling ghosts, demons, mythical monsters, the past, or other dimensions, we are really facing the deepest parts of ourselves. These thirteen tales of horror and dark fantasy may appear to be a matter of good versus evil, but they are all a reflection of the hidden corners of the soul that are often shades of broken darkness. The characters in these stories must face their inner and outer terrors, or else suffer the consequences.
A hilarious and painfully relatable debut novel about one woman’s messy search for joy and meaning in the wake of an unexpected breakup, from comedian, essayist, and award-winning screenwriter Monica Heisey
Maggie is fine. She’s doing really good, actually. Sure, she’s broke, her graduate thesis on something obscure is going nowhere, and her marriage only lasted 608 days, but at the ripe old age of twenty-nine, Maggie is determined to embrace her new life as a Surprisingly Young Divorcée™.
Now she has time to take up nine hobbies, eat hamburgers at 4 am, and “get back out there” sex-wise. With the support of her tough-loving academic advisor, Merris; her newly divorced friend, Amy; and her group chat (naturally), Maggie barrels through her first year of single life, intermittently dating, occasionally waking up on the floor and asking herself tough questions along the way.
Laugh-out-loud funny and filled with sharp observations, Really Good, Actually is a tender and bittersweet comedy that lays bare the uncertainties of modern love, friendship, and our search for that thing we like to call “happiness”. This is a remarkable debut from an unforgettable new voice in fiction.
