The I Love Spring Book Tag 2023 Edition

Good day all!

A big welcome all! Welcome to the 2023 edition of the book tag: I Love Spring! I thought it would be fun to do this one again~

Because yesterday spring started! And I thought it would be fun to do a tag, I searched around, but I just didn’t find any that sparked an interest, well, until I thought about tags I already did. I came across this one, I did it in 2021, corona pandemic times, so I thought it would be fun to do it now in not-so-pandemic times. Plus, I was curious if I could find some new covers for some of the prompts, after all, it’s been 2 years, so maybe I had read a book with a sun on it! Ohhh~

I found the tag over at Golden Books Girl! Not sure who the original is, if you know let me know because I want to add that to the post!

1) How is Spring where you live?

As I said in my 2021 edition, it is very unpredictable here. We can get some hot sunny days or we can get ice cold and maybe a dash of snow. Or endless rain. I don’t mind it that much though, I love that the weather in my country goes from a to y without any notice of anything. I am hoping that this spring will be having nice weather though! *crosses fingers*

2) Most anticipated book release this Spring?
Haha, just one? OMG. *checks shelves, that one? No, that one? Or maybe this one?* OK, I decided! I go for this book:

The Strange Case of Harleen and Harley, DC, Harley Quinn, Anxiety, Mental Health, LGBT, Graphic Novel, Melissa Marr

Everyone who knows me knows that I absolutely LOVE Harley Quinn. I love seeing more stories appear about her and then also changes in her origin story. This one is totally different, and that is perfect. Plus, I love Melissa Marr’s art! Now I just need to wait until May, and then hope Amazon has it. *crosses fingers*

3) Show us a book cover that makes you think of Spring:

Sheepology: The Ultimate Encyclopedia Ilaria Demonti , Camilla Pintonato, Non-Fiction, Children's Book, Sheep, Cute, Illustrations

4) Where are you going to read this Spring?

Well, this is a change! Back in 2021 we were still in a pandemic and still had some lockdowns and such, but now in 2023 things are better. I am still being careful, because my body just loves getting sick it seems, but I can do more! SO yes, I am planning on reading outside, maybe go to parks and other places. In a few days I got a little puppy, so there will be plenty of times I can just pop her in my special puppy/dog bag and take her to some fun place. EEP! Excited!

5) Find a cover with the sun on it!

Mijn broer Stéphane Louis , Ale, Space, Sci-Fi
This comic I read in Dutch. It wasn’t really good, a bit too much jumping around and annoying characters, but the art was pretty and hey look it is a sun!

6) What are your favorite Spring reads?

As I said in my 2021 edition, I don’t really have spring specific books that I read. The only times when I do read for a certain theme is during October and Christmas. Other than that, I will just read whatever comes on my path!

7) Find a book with many different colors on it?
A Man and His Cat, Vol. 2 Umi Sakurai, manga, cat, slice of life,Bunnies in a Boat Philip Ardagh , Ben Mantle , Boat, Bunnies, Chaos, Picture Book, Children's Book, Humour, Funny, Beach
Yep, I picked two covers again! I just cannot resist~ Both are just so pretty. I love how bright and happy the Bunnies cover is (which I hope to read ASAP) and A Man and a Cat (which was just oodles of fun) just calls warmth and spring because of the pastel colours.

And that is the end! This was a lot of fun to do again, I am glad I decided to do that. Let me know in the comments what your spring is like + what books you would have picked. As for tagging, well, anyone who hasn’t done the tag, feel free to do it! And I hope that everyone has a great spring filled with great book and fab weather~
