Review for Sweat and Soap / Ase to Sekken, Vol.3

Sweat and Soap, Vol. 3 Kintetsu Yamada, Romance, Soap, Scent, Relationship, Cute, Adorable, Manga, Man, Woman, YukataThe third book! Romance! Conversations! Soap! Scent! And more!

Slowly making my way through the boxset featuring the first 6 books. Well, slowly, I do hope that by the time this review comes up in April (it is now 10th Feb) I will have read all of them, haha.

Lots of cute moments with our couple, including her waiting for him to come home from the trip, going on a birthday trip for Natori, lots of sexy times (which were very well written and drawn). I love how these two just talk. Like adults. I know that sounds weird, but I read so many books/manga that it surprises me when people actually just have conversations about their relationship, about things that happened that may impede on things, or talking about comfort and consent. Such a blessing. I love that Asako is trying to get more comfortable with the relationship and all that comes with it, and also even tries to call Natori by his first name + also agrees with telling people about their relationship. Especially the part that she would love for him to call her his girlfriend was just fab. AWWW! I love these two so much and I cannot wait to see what the next step is, living together?

The sniffing is still a bit weird and that one request of his was a bit dubious, but I don’t mind it too much, it is actually funny as well. Plus, I can imagine having some scent of your girl/boyfriend, I know I am the same, but maybe stop at asking for an item of clothing? And not go as far as ask for her sweaty towels?

Loved that she had that moment with her boss, that she was able to talk to someone about Natori-san and their relationship! I can understand that she wants to keep things private, but I am happy that someone found out and that she can confide in him. I loved how he answered at times, which makes me wonder about him and his life (extra bonus story please).

Wasn’t too happy with Ichise for a part of the book, I mean, you had your chances girl. No need to call him cruel. But thankfully, she does get better later on. I was worried I would be frustrated with her all volume.

That poor guy in the last bonus chapter tough, OUCH. He is going to be heartbroken.

All in all, I loved this one and I just couldn’t stop reading it. I am so happy I got more volumes because otherwise I would just be too sad. This series is way too fun.
