A happy welcome and big HAPPY WEEKEND to a new Friday Face Off! This week I am featuring some of the We Were Liars by E. Lockhart covers~
The weather has been quite perfect and getting fluffier this week so I thought I would do a nostalgic summer book. I read the book back in 2015 (which I just realised is almost 10 years ago) and really enjoyed it. But I wasn’t in the mood to re-read it (afraid I may not like it as much again, this has happened with other books) so I haven’t read the newest book that came out recently. But this book? Good! It had a rocky start, I wanted to DNF it for a bit, but then I got just sucked into it.
So I thought I would check out what kind of covers we have for it, and LORD, there are many! So many of them. A lot of them a bit more of the same theme, teens, sea, beach, summer. But some had a bit more interesting themes on their covers. It is always fun to see different countries and if they go with the English cover or just make their own. Personally I love it when they give it their own twist, though haha, that has caused me to pick up a book and then find out I read it already.😂
Let’s get to showing the covers! Be sure to let me know in the comments what you think is the best one!
What is Friday Face Off? It’s a memepost created by Books by Proxy and now hosted on Books and Travelling by Lynn! It used to be that she would post a list of a topic and you would find covers, but these days you are free to pick a cover of your own that has a lot of editions and feature them on your blog~
Today I am definitely going for the Vietnamese cover! Which is just perfect! The water, the secrets, the family/dark hands holding one under. It is so pretty and ominous at the same time. On the second place I would say the burning picture one, also a very fitting cover for the book!
