The Book Addiction Tag
Hello hello~
A warm welcome to a new shiny tag! Today I am doing the Book Addiction Tag! Whoo~
I have had my eyes on this tag when I discovered it on Chasing Destino in early March. But I just had a too full blog along with so many other tags that were shouting at me to do them that it took a while~ But I am happy I did this one, it was so fun to do.
If anyone knows who the original creator was let me know and I will give them proper credit~
Haha, I never kept track of that one. I think a day and then I feel twitchy.
How many books do you carry on your person (or kindle) at any one time?
Generally one or two physical. Don’t always bring my Kindle with me (it is a bit too expensive for that), but if I do, well at the moment I got 10 books on there waiting to be read.
Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more?
Nope, don’t keep every book. Only 4.5 or higher rated books can stay. Sometimes 4 stars if they are special, but otherwise it is also bye to those. I just don’t have the space to keep adding books to my shelves.
How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit?
Standard as in just checking if there are new books? 5-10 minutes. My bookstore isn’t that big. If it is a bigger one it will be around 15 minutes. I always wonder how people can spend more time in bookstores. After 5-15 minutes I have seen what I need to see. And it is not like most bookstores have chairs or so and standing while checking out books is just not working out.
How much time per day do you actually spend reading?
Depends per day. Some days it is an hour, other days (if my health is suckish or if I have a free day) 4+ hours.
Where does the task βpicking up a bookβ appear on your daily to-do list?
Whenever I have time. During breakfast? Sure! Lunch? Sure? In between things? Sure! Making dinner? Yes! And so on.
Approximately how often do you bring up books in conversation?
Every day. Almost always with my husband. But also with peeps online.
What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading?
Sadly, my GR read shelf is a bit too big and I cannot get to my shelf to check that anymore (and Goodreads doesn’t care to help me out as they just ignore my mails). But I think my biggest book was around 900-1100 pages.
A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?
Haha, these days I don’t have them as I just DNF the heck out of things, so I had to check my Goodreads to check out some of my super low rated books. I picked this one. This one was such a drag. So boring. Chaotic.
What are 3 of your main book goals for 2023?
=Have fun reading and don’t care about people’s opinions
And that is it. I really cannot think of any other goals.
Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a reader (maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)?
I have no clue if I ever did. But I hope so. I hope I inspired someone to start reading!
Describe what books mean to you in five words.
Escape, freedom, happiness, joy, wow
And that is it for this tag! I finally had the chance to do this one and I loved it~ I am not tagging anyone specific as this one has been around for a while, but if you do want to do it let me know because I love reading other people’s answers~ Have a wonderful day and thank you for reading/visiting!
