WHERE DO YOU TYPICALLY WRITE YOUR BLOG POSTS?

Either in the room where my hubby and my computers reside or in my attic library. Mostly the first one though as I got a desk and good chair there and I don’t have that upstairs. Also, the ease of having two screens, that also helps.

HOW LONG DOES IT GENERALLY TAKE YOU TO WRITE A BOOK REVIEW?

Depends on my feels on the book. Some books I can just write a review in 10-15 minutes, but then there are reviews that take a bit longer. I would say around 20 minutes on average per review.

WHEN DID YOU START YOUR BOOK BLOG?

In February 2014! Yep, almost 10 years ago! I still cannot believe I have been blogging that long!

WHAT IS THE WORST THING ABOUT HAVING A BOOK BLOG IN YOUR OPINION?

Phew, let’s think about that one. I guess the only thing that maybe a bother is the stress at times (especially when tour/book promos peeps don’t give you the materials in time or the way some authors react) and the fact it feels that it is very much like high school at times, haha, some people just get instantly popular while the rest of just hopes that someone pops by the blog. But, it brought my quite a lot of good things in my life. I met authors (mostly online though, the curse of living in The Netherlands), I was able to review books through Netgalley/publishers/authors, I found friends and a community.

WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT HAVING A BOOK BLOG IN YOUR OPINION?

Being able to share to the world the books that I love (and not so love), help promote books, share my reading, show new books. Plus, finding new friends/communities to be part of!

WHAT BLOG POST HAVE YOU HAD THE MOST FUN WRITING SO FAR?

Sorry, I just cannot pick one out of 11k I have written. Not to mention figuring out which one in almost 10 years. Haha. I think they are just a lot of fun to write, even the ones that were negative reviews, because you just got to let those feels out.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TYPE OF BLOG POST TO WRITE?

Library/Book Hauls!

WHEN DO YOU TYPICALLY WRITE?

Every day a bit, because I signed up for promo stuff and I often don’t get the materials until the last moment but also because of evening posts, but on Monday I do the biggest bulk of the writing. I write the reviews I still have to write, get most of the posts ready that still need to be ready for the upcoming week.

DO YOU REVIEW EVERY BOOK YOU READ?

With how much I read (not bragging it is just the truth) no. I used to try to review everything but I just burned out. These days I really select which books I want to feature on my blog and which will just get a short or no review.

HOW DO YOU WRITE YOUR BOOK REVIEWS? WITH A CUP OF COFFEE OR TEA? WITH NETFLIX? CUDDLED WITH YOUR FUR BABY?

Cup of tea. Then depending on my mood it will either be watching some Netflix/anime or listening to music. I also play mobile games. Writing reviews is fun but at times it is a chore and my head (ADHD especially) just isn’t into that all the time. So I distract my mind. I recently found out that mobile games work as well, so it is added to the list of things to try out, haha.

WHEN DO YOU WRITE YOUR BOOK REVIEWS? RIGHT AFTER FINISHING THE BOOK? TWO WEEKS AFTER FINISHING THE BOOK?

Depends, some reviews I write instantly or within a week of reading. But sometimes words just don’t come out, or I am just not into reviewing at the moment and it can take up to 4 weeks. Like today I went through 8-9 reviews which included books from my August vacation.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU POST?

Reviews or posts? I am guessing posts. I post around 2 to 4 posts a day. 2-3 posts featuring reviews, tags, and all the other things I do and then often (I used to do it every day but these days I am a bit more relaxed) an evening post like Monday’s First Sentence or Waiting on Wednesday. And no, don’t ask me how I do it, I don’t know it either, haha. Back when I started I didn’t do this much, but then I got so much to share and I ended up like this. On the one hand I would like to do a bit less, on the other hand I do love spreading some bookish love. Oh, and for the peeps who CRY about quality over quantity (something I always feel is quite a toxic mindset). I can guarantee you that every post on my blog gets love, care, spelling checks, and I make sure they are good/awesome/fantastic. I don’t just throw something on the blog. Oh no. I want to have good stuff on my blog.

And there you have it! This was such a fun tag to do! I don’t know who has done this one/who needs to do this one, but if you do, let me know/link to my post! I will be sure to check out your post~ Thank you all for reading!

    1. Thank you! 😍 Not sure, haha, I also have a Dutch blog these days (though I review less and less Dutch as I want to focus mostly on my English blog) so I would need to factor those in as well. 😆 And the first book I read/reviewed was Schaduwliefde by Ruta Seperys, though that review has long left my blog because it was just a bit too short of a review. But that one started it all!
