Review for Pocket Peaches

Pocket Peaches Dora Wang, Graphic Novel, 3 animals on a couch and one behind, cute, adorable,I received this book from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

This was an adorable and sweet graphic novel and boy I am happy that I had the chance to read it! In this one we meet Peaches, a cute adorable bunny living in a pretty dang adorable world! Peaches meets a new, potential, friend and she is more then eager to find out what makes her tick. She has a book that she needs to bring back so she has a way to make conversation. Which we all know isn’t always easy when meeting a potential new friend! It was really adorable to see Peaches try to find Taro and try to get that conversation started! And what will Peaches do, because if you think this should just be an OK thing, well Taro loves all things spooky and scary (zombies, horror, gore, let’s go) but Peaches loves magical girls and cute frilly things. Yep, you can see the problem, right? I was curious what Peaches would do, would she go for honesty? Or really be so desperate to make a new friend that she would make up things? The answer is the last one and I was just shaking my head and go, oh no Peaches. Be honest!

But, I loved that Peaches was able to ask Taro if she wanted to come for a sleepover/movie marathon. I was curious how that movie marathon would go. Peaches is not the only one not into horror, haha. I was also hoping very much that she would be able to confess, to be honest, to let Taro know that she wants to be friends but wasn’t into the spooky stuff. I won’t spoil much, but I will say I loved what happens near the end, that made me smile!

The art in this one is just so cute, really, it is way too cute. You just want to step into the book and be enveloped in the cute and soft! The colours are all soft and sweet. I love them.

All in all, a sweet book about being honest, about friendship, and about having a good time! I would recommend it.
