Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 17-9-2023

wavesHi all~

Bakemonogatari, Books, Gif, Red Books, Girl, Boy, Diving/Jumping, Anime

A happy welcome to a new TBR Updates! Sorry for the first post being empty, I am a bit under the weather and I thought I would have woken up early enough to get the post up and ready as yesterday was a bit too much, well my body decided that sleeping until 12.30pm was the way to go, so I was too late. 🙈

This week was pretty good, my hubby had his vacation week and so it was also partially my vacation week, haha. We did a lot of relaxing, tons of games, there were books to be read (my hubby is fully invested in Dragon Mountain by Katie/Kevin Tsang). We visited Library #5 and #4. On Thursday I decided that it was high time to do something with the apples from my apple tree and made a whole load of yummy food (all new recipes) which I then distributed to several of my neighbours + friends which made everyone very happy. My hubby’s birthday was on Friday and we went to a museum dedicated to trains, we visited it some time before Covid hit so it was high time to visit it again. After that we had a lovely dinner. He was very happy with my presents (which included several books). On Saturday a friend popped by. And yes, on Saturday my body decided that getting a cold and just sneezing/throwing snot around was the best idea. So this Sunday well, I am taking it easy. Hopefully I won’t get too sick. Bleh!

What did I read last week from my TBR? Amazing Bodies (this was so fun/great illustrations/fab info), Neopets Official Cookbook (so nostalgic and I want to try them all), Animal Factopia (a lot of fun love the use of photographs/illustrations), Wij waren de Vickersons (WOWWWWWW), Bruiloft in de B&B (currently reading and loving it), De alchemist op de richel (fun, but at times a bit too much), King Charles (learned some new things, great art), Het leukste boekje over Spanje (this was interesting and I love the facts).

I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Niemand komt je redden (didn’t like one of the POVs), In Birkenau (I had a few issues with the writing), Ze noemen me mier (it was fun with the narrator but then became annoying).

Here is a new stack! New library books + new TBR books~ I am really excited and happy about this tbr and cannot wait to get started!

Thank you all for reading and let me know in the comments what you think of my stack + I am of course also curious… what are you reading this upcoming week? Anything good? Anything exciting? Let me know! I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday + a fab week, stay safe and happy days~

  1. Happy Belated Birthday to your husband Mehsi! I am sick too. I think its just a head cold and not that stupid covid, but really, what is the difference? I hope you feel better very soon and have an excellent week ahead!🍂🍁☕📚☔💜
