The Spooky Would You Rather Book Tag

Afternoon all!

A spoooky welcome to The Spooky Would You Rather Book Tag!

I came across this one in the last days of October last year, no time to do this one then because my blog was all full, so I planned to do it this year and here we are! I am so excited about doing this tag, I really loved seeing it last year. It is perfect for Spooktober!

I found the tag over at The Critiques of a Fangirl (see their post here) and the original creator is The Book Pusher.

Let’s get started!

Thrillers or supernatural?

Oh a tough one from the start! Let’s think. Mm, I think I will go for thrillers then! I really love thrillers with mystery, murder and twists and turns. There are also supernatural books I like, but thrillers just win this one. I just love a good thriller that will shock you. Currently waiting for the newest Linda van Rijn to arrive at my home so I can read it!

Ghosts or zombies?

Ghosts. I do love a good zombie book, oh yes I do, but in preference haunted houses and ghosts being up to no good is more my jam. Plus, I am more afraid of zombies than ghosts, though there are some books *looks at Darcy Coates* that had terrifying ghosts, but in general I can handle books with ghosts just a bit better. It helps that quite often a ghost is able to be exorcised, or some curse can be broken. Zombies… well you are just fucked. 🤣

Ghost, Animated, Boo, Spooky

Vampires or werewolves?

Mm, the age old question eh? I think I will go for vampires. I always had a soft spot for them. Give me a hunky vampire any day (and no not Edward). Or give me a story like Dowry of Blood.

Witches or demons?

Witches! I do love a demon story (well, they need to be hunky demons or else I am not that sold), but I do love stories with witches even more. Be them good witches or be them bad witches. I love seeing all the various forms of witches there are, you can have ones that do magic easily or ones that rely on other ways to create magic. It is just so fun.

Read a book with 13 chapters or a book with a black cat on the cover?

I am not one for superstitious stuff so this question is based more do I want a cute cat on the cover or a 13-chapter book. Mm. How long are the chapters of the 13 chapter book? Because the 13 chapter book can be quite short if the chapters are short… or someone writes a 500+ pages book and just has very long chapters, which I am not a fan of. I guess just to be safe I will just go for a cute cat on the cover! Hopefully it is also found in the story!

Black Cat, Sleepy, Cute

Read a spooky book in the dark with only a candle for light or by yourself in a locked brightly lit room?

Um. Is this a set-up for a horror movie? 😂 But I guess if I have to choose, give me the locked and brightly lit room. At least then I know that there is absolutely nothing hiding in shadows and all that which you will get with just a candle.

Face your worst fears or be trapped in the mind of a killer?

Um. UM. EXCUSE ME? I guess I will just face my debilitating fear for clowns then. Heck no I am going for the mind of a killer. Though clowns. *shivers* Uwu.

Watch a scary movie or read a scary book?

I think I will go for books. While my imagination will add to all the terrifyingness, at least nothing truly comes to life like in a movie, haha. Then again, if it is a movie I could just hide behind my hubby or under a blanket… mmm. Nope, will stick to books.

Read spooky books during the autumn or all year?

All year please! I do read a lot of spooky during this specific month, but I just cannot wait a whole year to start reading all the spookiness. Not to mention, I don’t have that much time, haha.

Read 10 spooky books in October or 10 spooky books all year?

Um, excuse me? So if I pick the first one I can only read them in October? And otherwise only throughout the year? But but but. This is a mean question. Heck no. This girl is NOT choosing anything. BYE.
GIF, I'm Gonna ignore that question

And that is it! Consider yourself tagged if you haven’t yet done this one! And let me know in the comments what your favourite horror book is!
