Evening all!

A very happy welcome to the very first Waiting on Wednesday of 2024! Today I got a very fun book to look forward to, namely the second book of Canine Detective Chris!!

I really enjoyed this book in late 2023 and I was so excited to see that a second volume would follow in 2024, and apparently it is March! So not that long now, well, OK, still 3 and a half months, but hey, given how fast time seems to go at times I am sure it will be March before I know it. Haha. I am very excited about the title which promises a Haunted Mansion! Bring me the spookies! Bring me the mystery! I am very curious about the mansion, the handkerchief, and also zombies?? I am guessing the last one is someone or multiple someones in an outfit/make-up, but we will see! It sounds oodles of fun and I cannot wait to see more of my cute shiba Chris, let’s see if this time he can conquer his fear of butterflies (yes really).

When a handkerchief is left at Hinata’s family’s veterinary clinic, he and Chris take on the job of returning it to its rightful owner. But when Chris tracks its scent, the pair find themselves in front of a haunted house. And is that a z-z-zombie?! Hinata has no time to be afraid, though, he’s got to protect Chris! What mysteries lie inside the haunted house, and just who left behind that handkerchief?
