Review for A Fire Truck for Chuck
I received this book from the publisher/Edelweiss in exchange of an honest review.
This book just looked too adorable to pass! Plus, I remember the days when I was young and had a toy (or plushie) that I wouldn’t be parted from or I would panic. So I was looking forward to seeing if Chuck would find his Fire Truck again + see him play with it~
Meet Chuck, a boy who is very much loves his Fire Truck! Yep! A lot. He takes it everywhere. Plays with it everywhere. In the mud. In home. But what happens when Chuck falls over and hurts himself and get stuck in the mud? Well, we find out! As a reader I loved that we could see what happened to both Chuck and the Fire Truck, but that Chuck didn’t notice. We see that the Fire Truck is safe and sound and that the mom is wonderful. But what about Chuck? Well, at first he doesn’t notice (as kids do), but then the search begins! Is Fire Truck on the porch? No! There is just a chicken. And so we see a quest happening throughout the home and I had a laugh at all the places he searched. And the chicken that popped up!
The ending was just adorable and made me smile. He is all Chuckered out. Such a busy day for Chuck and his Fire Truck!
The illustrations were just adorable! So fitting for this fun book~
I love the way the book was written with plenty of rhyme and fun. And lots of words going with Chuck and Fire Truck. XD
All in all, I would recommend this book to all. It was fun, adorable, and it reminded me of the toys I used to have and that I loved dearly~
