Review for The World of Worm: Colors
The newest worm, this time all about colours!
I was so happy to see this book appear in my nearest library! I really liked Worm and Shapes and I was curious what worm would have for adventures in this one!
In this one we see our fun and adorable drawn worm (seriously, I am normally not that big on worms, but this one is adorable) go to the city to find some fun things for a party. Yessss, our worm is having a party and well of course you need fun items, you cannot just have a party with nothing. Well, OK, it would be fun to see how creative you can be without items, but items are just a must. I just loved seeing him head to the city and I loved that each building is a specific colour. Yes, this is rainbow town and I wish the houses in my town were this creatively coloured instead of boring browns, blacks, grays, or whites. And now my ADHD is on a tangent about the pretty houses in Venice. Haha.
Back to the book. In each of the houses you will find items that match with the outside colour and we have to guess what our worm is going to pick! It makes for a fun reading experience because not only do you get all these items in specific colours but you have to pick a party accessory. And of course you can also make it even more fun by asking your little one if they know more items/food/etc. with that specific colour! You won’t be bored and along the way your little one will learn colours and objects. So fun!
I loved seeing Worm’s cart get fuller and fuller and I loved that we even got to see the party at the end, that made me smile!
And the art was once again so much fun! I really love the style, it is so cute and colourful.
All in all, highly recommended to all!
