Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 7-4-2024

Hey hey all!

Bakemonogatari, Books, Gif, Red Books, Girl, Boy, Diving/Jumping, Anime

Welcome all to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!! Happy Sunday!

This week was… well I guess it wasn’t too bad? Still not feeling too well, but doing better. I did try to take it easy/make some more me time. And other than the day to day stuff, let’s see. Well, on Saturday I found out that in our standing birds house… is a baby egg. From two doves who have been visiting us since we started living here 5 years ago. At first they were very shy, but with the years they know I feed them in autumn/winter and make sure the garden is a safe spot for birds/animals, so they have come closer each year/getting more trusting. So apparently, now they the trust level = here is an egg and have fun, haha. I was actually planning on doing gardening and making everything ready for the summer, but I guess that will have to wait until May or I will do some light/small things. They don’t mind us walking around that much, and when I was sitting on the couch (before I found out about the egg) about 2-ish metre from the birds house, they didn’t mind, but still don’t want to disturb them too much and the garden isn’t that big. Next to that surprise, there was some Pokemon Go-ing (yay for events that are FREE for once), I visited Library #4 and #2, I enjoyed the sunny weather on Saturday, oh Easter was 2 fun days of food and relaxing, and today I will be visiting my dad and bringing along Coco. He doesn’t always remember Coco, but when he does or when I tell him about her, he really wants to see her. So we are going to see how that will be going today.
Reading-wise, a bit of a mixed bag but in overall I read some really great books!

What did I read from my TBR? Where he Can’t Find You (EEEE 😱😱), I Hear the Sunspot (pretty book with two guys to root for but at times the dialogues were hard to discern who was talking, plus the MC was a bit eh at times), Pokemon Adventures #1/#2/#3 (the catchphrase can f off/the dream stuff as well, Bianca eh, but I did love the rest of this one and see the journey, the pokemon, the battles), Pistache & Soda (so cute and fun), Dingen die we doen (EEEEPPPPP, I really liked this one, though it broke my heart).

I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Thin Air (eh to the characters/too much the same as other YA thriller), Naar buiten met kinderen (too much psychologic babble), Happy Place (the break-up was grander and more f-ed than the blurb said, Wyn was cardboard/there was no chemistry, it got boring), Sisters under the Rising Sun (so many POVs and all would get maybe a paragraph or two and then switch, no thank you, plus those nuns were way too happy, everyone is dying and they were just singing and giggling, wtf).

Here is a new stack, with some new Library books + some new physical books! I am very excited about this stack, it looks so good, now it is just what to read first?

Thank you all for reading! Let me know in the comments what you think of my stack + what your plans (reading and otherwise) are for the upcoming week. I hope everyone will have a fantastic Sunday + week, enjoy, stay safe~
