‘Is this it?’ Pipsquark said, point at a door.
Reggie was about to say ‘no’as he spotted the peeling paint of the door frame and the cracked glass that had been hastily taped over.
But the words on a rusty plaque stopped him.
‘I thought he would have a much fancier office than this,’ Pipsquark said.
Reggie tried to squash down the tightening in hi chest. ‘OK,’ he thought to himself. ‘It’s not shiny and new. But maybe Detective Fox is clearly too busy solving cases to have time to dust off an old sign.’
