Come on, this cover? That title? That extra title in a gift tag? How could one resist that? Well, I couldn’t!

In this book we see a squirrel talk about the bestest smooches! Yes, this whole book is about the sweetest smooches you can think of. Not just an ordinary hi there smooch. Oh no. We are getting some very sweet and romantic smooches. In this book we see squirrels kiss it out, but this book is also for humans. I mean, several were definitely relatable. Like the smooch because they are playing our song (well, given OUR song, or should I say songs, I would think that deserves a smooch definitely, good luck playing either of those, haha) or a smooch that features butterflies and sparks (because that is how kisses and smooches almost always are). It was just so cute and adorable, and I love seeing how much love these squirrels have.

Oh, and the Will.Not.Wear.Out guarantee! Loved that!

And this quote is just perfection: “It’s a smooch that’s exactly the kind you need. Because it’s for you. And because it’s from me.”

I have to say that while I did love it, and that I found it very sweet, I felt it was just a bit too repetitive for me.

The art was very cute though and I loved seeing the squirrels be super happy to see each other and the love feelings just pop out from the pages!

So while it was repetitive and I would probably not give this one to my partner (though I may see if I can find prints of some pages), I still think it was a cute and sweet idea.
