A hilarious book about farts, animals, and how you shouldn’t feel ashamed of your farts! Toots ahoy!

I have read this book in Dutch which is why I am able to write an English review even though the book isn’t released yet in English.

I just saw this book at the library and the cover and the title made laugh so I had to take it home. I am not always into books featuring farts, but this one looked too good to pass. And I am glad I did bring this book with me because I laughed so much!

In this book we meet a tiny Jerboa who let’s out a toot. Oh dear! Oh no! But there is elephant to remind him that it is OK. He shouldn’t feel ashamed! Everyone toots after all! It is 100% natural! And so begins a hilarious story full of farts, toots, and wind! From tiny animals to very big animals. Everyone is letting out toots in their own way~ From just letting it rip to a cutie of a patootie fart. And now I got a dog I can tell you that it is 100% true what is said in the book. LORD. My dog will be sitting on my lap and suddenly the overwhelming scent of death and rotting eggs just floats around. EWW! XD I loved the diversity of animals, as I said various sizes, but also animals from all over the world. Land, sea, air.

The ending was just totally awesome, RIP to the little mouse. It was nice knowing you, haha.

The illustrations were just absolutely perfect. Colourful, fun, and I love how the illustrator was able to make every fart unique.

But I have to say that the part after the animals and before the hilarious ending wasn’t my thing. I don’t know, it felt out of place, more like filler to fill up the book. It was a nice touch yes, but it just didn’t feel organic with the other parts.

But all in all, a delightful hilarious book about farts and all the animals that do those farts, so let it go! Well, OK, maybe not in a small space, OK?
