Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 7-7-2024

Afternoon all!

Bakemonogatari, Books, Gif, Red Books, Girl, Boy, Diving/Jumping, Anime

Welcome all to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates! Whoo! It is SUNDAY!! dances and then promptly falls asleep

This week was pretty decent. Daily stuff (of course), but also plenty of other things, like visiting my dad and making sure he has a comfy (and good) chair along with some fun posters and many snacks (he does love a snack). It was a great visit and he was so happy to see us (my hubby and I went together this time), he is really doing much better these days, still a bit fuzzy and at times not all there but much clearer, for instance he has finally asked the care people for the phone (he doesn’t have one himself) to call me! I was so worried though when I saw the care home number pop up, and then happiness when it was my dad and he just wanted to chat with me.
I also visited Library #1, popped by #2 for a reservation (and found 2 more books). On Saturday there was a small yearly market in the town next to us and it was a fun visit (mm hamburgers and oh yes books).
Reading-wise a very good week! With ARCs, my stack from last week, and some new library books that I just had to read.

What did I read from my TBR? All the dragonball (and I am finished, this was a fantastic re-read), Flamingo Beach, Animal Jack (eh), De toverleerling #1 and #2 (OHHH I need more, this was magical and fun with fab illustrations), Spy x Family #6+#7 (I so so enjoyed these, action, humour and more).

I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? 33 vrouwen (too many POVs/time switches), Cupcakes & Cocaine (could use an editor), The Storm We Made (eh).

Here is a new stack! With new books I got yesterday and some new library books as well! Plus, of course stuff I haven’t read from last week. I cannot wait to get started~

Thank you all for reading my post, wish me luck with this new stack (so excited) and let me know what your plans are this upcoming week (anything fun?) in the comments. Stay safe, have a fantastic weekend filled with fun and books~
