Review: BroomMates : A Brewing Boundary Battle

BroomMates A Brewing Boundary Battle by Lynne Marie, Brenda Sturgis Reeves, Nico EcenarroI received this book from Edelweiss/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

Meet two witches, Mathilda and Malin. Mathilda is all about glitter, glamour, pink, and happiness. And Malin is all about GLOOM, DARK, maybe a dash of green, and oh yes dead things. These two have to share a room and well, if you know siblings, this won’t be the easiest. These two are very much different from each other and how do you share a room then when one wants a dark wall and the other a pink glitter one? Add to that a mix of magic and you got a really fun book that will make you laugh a lot! I really loved both the girls and could understand both sides to it. I am definitely a blend, but I can imagine if you like either or and have to share one room, it isn’t going to be easy. It was both funny and sad to see them try to figure things out. There is a lot of chaos, I can tell you that! I was rooting that these girls would be able to find the perfect solution… and I hope that they would do so before either their mom got even angrier or before the house explodes (told you there was magic).

I loved that their mummy was a literal mummy as well. That made me laugh as I hadn’t expected it!

The art was oodles of fun and I love how the illustrator was able to catch both the personalities of the witches and bring them out with fun colours perfect for them. I am also happy that for Malin they didn’t go for all black, but instead added that pop of green in the mix!

All in all, this is a fun book! Perfect for siblings who have to share a room and want to see what happens when you add magic to that sibling chaos!
