Review: Book Nooks

Book Nooks by Vanessa Dina, claire Gilhuly, Antonis Achilleos, Design, Photography, A room with a couch and a book caseI received this book from Edelweiss/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

Is this the perfect book for us bookworms? I just had to give it a shot! And I can tell you right from the start of this review. Yes, this is a perfect book for bookworms!

😍 It is great that the book is split up in various sections. From Classic to Bars to Colorful to Kids/Babies. There is something for everyone and you can either just do like I do, read from start to end, or just pick whichever you want to start on.
😍 I love that at the end of each bit we get a quote from someone from the book world (or journal world, haha) along with some of the books they would recommend. That just made this one extra special for me. Plus, even more books to check out, haha.
😍 The gorgeous photographs of gorgeous homes and bounties of books everywhere but in fun ways. BOY, I wanted to step inside the book so many times~ And some of those bookshelves. BRING THEM TO ME!
😍 The many fun DIY and design tips to get a book nook going. From colours to use in certain rooms to what kind of furniture or extra accessories and items to use to the most important of the book nook, books. Everything to make your nook a special place be it a big bit of the house or a small bit. From how to make fun shelves to what books to add. To just adding a small stack next to a couple of chairs or on the table for some fun bookish content near you. Or filling up a-not-so-used fireplace with some books along with coloured spines/bookpages. I am definitely going to try to make that stool. I just need a bit of wood and thick straps! I got plenty of books and selling them is quite hard and the library doesn’t take books. This will be a fun way to make a little nook along with some functionality. I also may just wrap a couple of old books in some fun paper to put them as decor throughout the house! I just love how detailed the book was! I thought it would just give some small tips or maybe just show photographs of various book nooks, but this one is full of creativity, tips, and fun. I LOVE IT! I got so many ideas in my head now.
😍 There is even a small bit about Little Free Libraries and some photographs of those~
😍 We get 5 classic libraries and read a bit about them. That was an interesting extra! I knew one of them, the others I want to look up.

Though I won’t be adding any books to my bathroom. Maybe if you have a window to add more air circulation, but mine only has ventilation and it can get pretty humid there. Don’t want to ruin the books! Plus, I don’t know, it just grosses me out to have books in there.

All in all, if you have the chance to get this book, be sure to do it! I will definitely be adding this book to my collection if I can find it for an affordable price.
