Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 29-9-2024
Afternoon all!
Welcome welcome to a Sunday’s TBR Updates! Whoo Sunday~
This week was mostly OK, though I am so tired. It was hard to get out of bed, though falling asleep was also not easy. sighs Coco is doing fine, she wants to do all the things… but yeah, she will have to wait until much longer in the future. But the vet (I visited with Coco on Friday) was very proud and excited about her progress after one week, so that is great! It makes me happy that she is doing well, because my hubby and I were just worrying. It is also sweater weather again for her, then again, her left leg also misses hair, so she missing a bit of her warmth there. So we are putting her in sweaters again and also wrapping her lower body in blankets.
Other than that, I did a little bit of shopping therapy on Friday and got some new Halloween items + a new skirt and a very shiny pair of pants (well, not exactly new, both are second hand, haha). On Saturday I visited Library #3 and my hubby spoiled me at Primark as they had some fun Kurumi and Hello Kitty items (oh, and a night shirt of Scooby Doo and the gang). So sweet! Plus, he also got me some books (see Twitter for my haul). EEP! And today we visited my dad and fixed his TV for him (apparently it flopped over and now the stand is not doing its thing) + got him some new candies and a new soccer magazine.
Reading-wise, a good week, though I fell into a rabbit hole with villainess/isekai manga. XD The week started off pretty well with books from my TBR… and then I just started reading more and more manga. That is also why I started two books (Swifts and Wings of Night) but never got far.
What did I read from my TBR? Geheim agent hond (I had so much fun reading this one, and I need to get the other books I missed), Het vliegerfestival (other than the rival being annoying, this one was great, love the kite festival), One Piece #9 and #10 (fab, exciting, but I didn’t like how Luffy was magically out of order for a while), Loki (haha, this was fantastic, another top tier book in the series).
I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Schaduwen van de tijd (sorry, but I just stopped reading when the thing she could do was called tijdglijden (time gliding???) it just made me laugh), Geruisloos verdwenen (this could have been interesting, but the writing style and it going from one thing to another annoyed me), Boetefabriek (started OK, then got boring).
Here is a new stack of books! I read a chapter or so from Wings of Night, not sure what to think yet, and I am trying to read The Swifts, but I am still a lot more in the mood for manga (villainesses/isekai) or graphic novels. Also, since it is not yet October and I don’t want to spoil all my Spooktober TBR, the spooky books are still not on here, but I will read some when October comes. So this is just a partial TBR. 🙂
A big big thank you all for reading my post! I hope everyone has an amazing Sunday and a fantastic week~ Let me know in the comments what you are planning on reading next week + if you have any fun plans for Spooktober (any fun recs for Haunted houses??).
