All Hallows Book Tag (2024 Edition)

All Hallows Book Tag (2024 Edition)

Afternoon all!

Idolmaster two girls in pumpkin heads and holding a basket doing trick or treat

Welcome all to a sparkly new tag! Today I am doing the very fun All Hallows Book Tag, a shiny brand new book tag created by Quirinus on Twitter/social media. You can check out their post up here. The tag also has made it’s way through quite a few other blogs (Here are a couple: Sifa Elizabeth Reads, ForBooksSake, Left on the Shelf, and Jolinsdell), The Strawberry Post, and I am happy that I can be part of it. I just LOVE a good spooky wooky book tag, and with Halloween almost knocking on the door it is even more perfect to do!

This tag has two parts. One is 6 questions and then next is a This or That with some fun choices (and yes, as you will see, I just couldn’t always choose, haha).

I would definitely recommend this tag to all (so you are all tagged) + I hope everyone has a fab Halloween week~

1) What are your favourite spooky season genres?

Well, I love these tropes/genres even outside of the spooky season, haha. Let’s see, I LOVE LOVE a good spooky haunted house, I love zombies (but after corona with moderation), I love monsters that crawl up to you and then try to nibble on you, the paranormal killer, survival stories set in a forest.

2) Which titles do you recommend for Halloween reading?

3) What are your most anticipated reads this month?

Well, the month is almost over. Haha. But here were a couple of books I was anticipated at the start of this month and I am still hoping to read them someday.
The Doomsday Archives The Heart-Stealer Mask by Zack Loran Clark, Nick Eliopulos, girl running towards her friends while being stalked by a very scary monster.Een monster in het bad by Pedro Manas, Blue-haired girl putting a kraken/octopus monster in a bathTwo Sides to Every Murder by Danielle Valentine, Two arrows in a boardDon't Let the Forest In by C.G. Drews, Face of a boy in suit with a scratched out face
4) Have you had a paranormal experience or spooky coincidence?

Oh yes! I definitely had. When I was a kid I never wanted to be alone in the attic or be anywhere near it when it was dark. I have slept there a couple of times and I was terrified as heck there because I could just feel something watching me and I heard sounds. And I have had to hang up laundry or pick up something there and I would hear scraping, as if something was moved around in the attic. A big fat nope. Same in other places, I would have the feeling of being watched, or see something in the corner of my eye. I am normally not such a big believer, but I can tell you these things make you question your feels on it. In my current home I don’t mind the attic that much, it is where my precious book babies are, but I don’t like going there when it is much later in the night (when I just can’t sleep and I need a book there I will just ask my hubby or turn on each and every light that I can turn on).

5) What are your spooky season film and TV favourites?

Here are a couple of things that I absolutely LOVE. On that note, also the other Conjuring and the Insidious universe.

6) How do you celebrate Halloween?

Well, it is still not really a big holiday over here. Slowly there are more people decorating their homes, slowly trick or treating is happening in parts (though I haven’t seen any yet, sad). So I will be spending my Halloween watching horror movies, drinking hot chocolate, eating chips shaped like ghosts, and maybe wear a fun spooky dress.
