Book Haul October 2024

Afternoon all!

A very happy welcome to a new Book Haul! Today I am sharing my MEGA haul of books I got in October 2024~

This month wasn’t the worst actually. Still a lot of stress and some stuff with my aunt + uncle. But my dad is doing much better, he currently has new anti-depressants this time a light dose and he is well monitored, and I can see that he is doing much and much better. He looks more himself than he did a few months back so that makes me happy. I love to help him out and make him happy. Clean up his room for him and make sure everything is in the right places so he can find them easily (especially now that he is just stuffing items in random places, like I found his blanket in one of the kitchen cabinets or a roll of toilet paper in the fridge). Bring him new sports magazines and candy/sweets (he is a big fan of these and I take care to bring two new bags for him each time I visit). I am also very proud that he is asking more and more for help these days. He is quite stubborn and in the beginning he wouldn’t even ask for help from me, but since August he is doing that AND these days also asking the care peeps for more help.
On to Coco, who is doing well, though she has her days that things go perfect and we see improvement and other days that she is just shivering and not happy. But she is slowly putting more weight on that leg of hers.
Other than that, this month was delightfully spooky with tons of fun spooky books, I decorated my house with spooky decorations, I did some gardening because seriously it was time (I haven’t been in the mood that much this year because we have to do some big gardening stuff next year now that they are finished with the roads around the house (which meant that things aren’t level anymore)). I didn’t do much baking, but I hope to pick that up now that Christmas season is coming up.
All in all, a month that was tiring but also fun! I can’t believe it went by so fast though, haha.

Let’s see the first picture is pre-orders + books that I got from my hubby this month! The second picture is all the books I got myself. It is a bit much, but I really wanted to give Libristo.eu a shot and I can happily say that I love it so far~ Oh, I also added some books to my Kindle, because it is spooky season and I could use some more spooky books. I do have some more books this month, but I had 4 DNF so I am not including those as these books won’t be going on my shelves, instead they are going on the stack of to-be-sold (if anyone wants them, haha).

Did I read all the books? Well, Influential + Hot Summer was just not on my TBR yet (more in the mood for other books). But out of the 19 I have read 14 (almost 15 as I am about halfway in Murder on a Summer Break)! So almost done~ Whoo.
