Review: The Breakfast Club Adventures #4: The Treasure Hunt Monster
This time a treasure hunt, a fun comic, and a mystery!!
In this one a new mystery which involves not just a treasure hunt set in a comic but also a mysterious being that stalks the halls of the school (and is pretty terrifying). I just loved that the author of the comic went to the same school as our group and decided to make a treasure hunt to celebrate the last parts of his series. The treasure hunt and how it was done was perfection. There were new issues each x time and each issue had a clue. I loved seeing not just our group but also the whole school try to figure out things, find the clues, go after hints. I just wanted to be part of it and help out everyone. As the treasure hunt got more heated things got more exciting. What would happen. What is the prize?
The monster that stalked the halls was absolutely terrifying. Yes, I knew there were humans in there (I mean, duh), but still it was quite scary how it seemed to appear out of nowhere and always seemed to be lurking somewhere.
I wasn’t too happy with the whodunnit on the monster. It felt silly and weird. I am not sure how to say it without spoiling, haha.
Stacey was actually not the worst in this one, which surprised me. Maybe the author got enough comments in regards to her? Because while I do like someone who loves supernatural, her constantly going for the supernatural and just persisting it is that gets very annoying and I wonder often if she is 5 or 10-12 years old.
The illustrations in this book were a delight again and I loved them a lot.
All in all, this was a fun mystery and I would have loved something like this happening in my school. A treasure hunt! I cannot wait for the next book!
