Spooky Scary Book Tag (2024 Edition)
BOOOOO!!!
A spooky welcome to the 2024 edition of the Spooky Scary Tag!
I did this tag back in 2022 and thought it would be a lot of fun to do him again! See what answers I would pick now. If you are curious about what I picked in 2022, here is the link to my 2022 post. I am really happy I did this one again, because just as I thought it was a lot of fun!
The original creator of the tag is Shelby Masako.
I am tagging the fabulous:
๐ Ashlee from BooksAre42
๐ Sabrina from Sabrina’s Book Tails
This one! Last year I found out about Wendy Dalrymple, and I am now slowly going through her books. This one was a very recent read and DANG it scared the crap out of me. A woman gets a knee operation… but what if strange things start to happen afterwards? It got SO GOOD, and so SCARY. OK, the MC at times was a bit hard to like, but in overall, *shivers*
Jack-oโ-Lanterns & Classic Costumes: A book you always reach for during Halloween time
This one! At least, it is most years, haha. Some years I just got too many other books. Oh, and I would like to add a new addition to it, namely Three Panel Horror, a Kickstarter book that I got in April 2023. It is a fabulously spooky book.
Black Cats & Magic Mirrors: A book you love that is laced with superstition and/or magic
Horror Collector series has all of those! Curses! Urban Legends! Superstitions! Mystery! Magic! Youkai! It is a superduper spooky series and I definitely love how, unlike many other children horror books, it doesn’t shy away from bad endings.
Witchโs Brew: Favorite witch character in any book/series
I stil only read 1 volume of each of these, but I already love the characters so much in this one!
Ghouls & Ghosts: A book that still haunts you to this day (good or bad)
This one! The first of a couple of issues and there is now also a bundled graphic novel. It is so awesome and scary and creepy and I really need to read more of it.
Haunted Graveyard: Youโre all alone in a haunted graveyard; you get one book to give you comfort. Which is it?
A recent read for me! This one was relatable, funny, hilarious, silly, and brought me many warm happy feels. So, if I have to go to a haunted graveyard, I will take this one with me so I can at least laugh while waiting for day to come.
The Undead: Favorite supernatural creatures to read about
Can I go with Cryptids and those sorta fitting with that? Because I just LOVE reading about Cryptids~ It is so fun to see what kind of Cryptids there are and read their stories. And I just adore this series featuring moth man.
In the Dead of Night: Pick a book with a black cover.
Definitely this AWESOME book and OMG terrifying cover!
What Goes Bump in the Night? Name a book that legitimately scared you while reading it
Jack-oโ-Lanterns & Classic Costumes: A book you always reach for during Halloween time
Black Cats & Magic Mirrors: A book you love that is laced with superstition and/or magic
Witchโs Brew: Favorite witch character in any book/series
Ghouls & Ghosts: A book that still haunts you to this day (good or bad)
Haunted Graveyard: Youโre all alone in a haunted graveyard; you get one book to give you comfort. Which is it?
The Undead: Favorite supernatural creatures to read about
In the Dead of Night: Pick a book with a black cover.

I love Wendy Dalrymple too but have yet to read Cadaver Bone. I wanna try to fit it in this month if I can!
Oh, hope you are able to read it this month!
Thanks for the tag. Lots of great suggestions for me here!
You’re welcome! Happy to hear that~ ๐๐
