Afternoon all~

Welcome all to a shiny new Library #1 Haul! I was done with my books so I wanted some new ones.

And I have to say at first I thought I was just going to be sharing it on BlueSky given how little I had found. There weren’t that many new books/nothing really screamed at me to take them home, so I was about to leave with just 4/5 books, when I came across a cart with some new children’s books. Of course, I took my chance and picked up 4 books. Then I spotted a librarian with a HUGE stack of Sinterklaas books! Fresh new and ready to put on the shelves. Me and another woman both were allowed to dig into the big pile and see if there was anything we wanted. Well, haha, yes! I picked up quite a few fun looking Sinterklaas books and I am excited! This year I was in time! I had one year that I was like, oh it can wait, Sinterklaas isn’t for another few weeks, and then by the time I wanted books they were all loaned out. Haha. Since then I try to be there soon, though I haven’t had the luck to actually see someone walk with a fresh stack of books, so that is fun!

I normally don’t pick up English edition of Dutch books, but GOOD LORD the Dutch edition of Oracle was DISGUSTING. It was falling apart, there were weird stains everywhere, as if the book was taken to the toilet, then yeeted outside in the mud and then throw in some food stuff. URGH. So, English it is.

So I got a whole stack of books, whoop! I cannot wait to start reading~
