Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 24-11-2024
Afternoon,
Welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates~ WHOO! Sunday! parties and then falls asleep
This week was mostly just normal stuff. Along with some more decorating for Christmas (each day a bit) and then on Tuesday visiting my dad to say hi, bring some new snacks, and give the care peeps the Sinterklaas pressie I got for my dad as requested by them. My dad wasn’t in the mood, at times he thinks he is still at work and gets quite angry when I stay because in his mind he has appointments/lots of things to do. But at least I could give him a hug and snacks and a clean room. On Thursday I visited the nearby garden centre with Coco and we had a fun time walking through it, picking up her favourite Christmas cookies, and sharing some whipped cream while I also had an iced coffee. Plus, I prepared some Speculaas dough which I baked on Saturday.
Reading-wise, a good week. I read (and DNF-ed) from my TBR, but I also read some ARCs and some books that I didn’t feature on my TBR (mostly picture books). It was fun!
What did I read from my TBR? The Strange Case of Harleen and Harley (OMG this was so GOOD, I love the way we saw who was who + more), The Breakfast Club (I knew who the culprit was from the start, but still a fab mystery), Monster Jagen (hilarious once again), Magic Lilly (fun, but didn’t feel like a first book), Chaos United (Eh, annoyed with many things), Blue Lock #9/#10 (these were so fun to read though the matches took too long), Brandstof (interesting, mostly loved the stories).
I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Het geheim van Anders (meh), Voor de Draad ermee (wayyy too much like another book I read years ago), Ben mijn zusje kwijt (the MC was SO annoying).
Here is an updated stack! Only one new book! But that is OK. Let’s see how much I will read as I got so many great Edelweiss Arcs (see my BlueSky post here).
Thank you all for reading and I hope everyone has a very happy Sunday + weekend~ Let me know in the comments what you are reading this week + if you have any fun plans. ❤🥰😍

I really want to read Bookshops and Bonedust, too. It’s a great time of year for cozy books! Thanks for sharing about your week. I love that you’re taking on Christmas decor a bit at a time. We have some renovations happening in our house right now, but as soon as that’s done, we’ll be doing the same. 🙂
Hope we both enjoy! And it is! Cold icky weather, perfect to just grab all the blankets and wrap them around you and read books. You’re welcome! Yep, it is a bit like advent calendar, each day a new surprise/new decoration. Good luck with the renovation and have fun decorating!!
