Library Haul ~ 9-1-2025 (Library #1)

Hey all~

Happy Friday and welcome to (yet another) Library #1 Haul.

Mehsi didn’t you go on Saturday? Um, yes. Yes. I did. Well spotted! But um, I kinda had a reading spree and I could use some new books. Plus, I also had 3 reservations waiting for me. Also, I had some time in between stuff AND it was even dry outside! Whoo!

So onwards I went to visit the library and pick up my reservations and also to walk around and see if I could find some new books. Oh, and one of the books I borrowed last time (Jeroen Krabbé) was a misprint (two sections were duplicated and several pages missing) so I wanted to let the library know so they could get a new/non-misprint edition from the publisher, and recommend the book while I am there, haha, because it was such a good book!

I had a lot of fun walking around the library and I am delighted to tell you that I had a lot of luck. I got a nice collection of books including some new photography books and also two picture books (one that I already was eyeing so I am excited the library had it in stock).

Oh, and I even got a free book. See those 4 bookish-shapes between Els van Roode and Kadinsky? That is one book and it folds into a whole long poster of around 2 metres, however it is quite fragile, this one is new so it is in perfect condition, but the other book in the series.. well, it has seen some abuse. So I took it to the children’s department to let them know and the librarian there was shocked at how it looked and that it even already had some tape here and there. He was considering taping it some more, but in the end decided to write off the book and let me have it (plus some tape so I could fix the book when I got home). So I now got a pretty book that definitely deserves some love and I can give it. And a safe home away from destructive kids.

What to read first? Well, I want to read the Somewhere Else first followed by Soichi.
