Review: Spirited #4: Fangs for the Memories

Fangs for the Memories by Liv Livingston, Yearbook full of photographs of the characters along with names and fun symbolsWhat if your best friend loses her fang right before picture day?

This was oodles of fun (OK, maybe a bit dramatic, haha)! In this book Vera loses one of her fangs (I am guessing that eventually it will come back as it was just a baby fang, as so far it from what I have read in many other vampire stuff teeth just come back) and she is horrified. It is almost time for picture day and well given that vampires are only visible in the picture with clothes and maybe fangs, you can imagine that having just one? NOPE. That is not going to happen. I felt for Vera, though I also kinda thought it was a bit dramatic. Oh no, one bad picture of the thousands you will probably have with a tooth again. But I was hoping that our MC and our little pup would at least figure out something to help Vera out.

And apparently there is a way! I would have liked the kids to just talk to the teacher and ask him instead of what they were planning to do. In the end everything went all right and things were OK, but I would just have liked it to go right from the start. Still, I loved the solution and I am curious if there are more items like this one, as the professor has quite a collection. What others are there?

Of course, just getting a solution wasn’t the only thing, they also had to convince a very grumpy and horrible cameraman (who should seriously consider finding a new job) and I was rooting for them to do so and give Vera a very happy moment in picture day history!

Oh, and I just adore seeing Liv get more comfortable in the town full of spooky stuff, even visiting Vera’s home. I am so happy that she and her friends are getting closer.

The art was a lot of fun as well!

And great to see another volume is coming, I was already wondering if there would be more, and thankfully there is going to be another volume whoop!

All in all, I would recommend this series so far, great characters, ghosts/vampires/werewolves and more, friendship, and plenty other fun things.
