Review: Zombie 100 – Bucket List of the Dead, Vol.15

Zombie 100 – Bucket List of the Dead 15 by Haro Aso, Koutarou Takata, blue cover as the characters are all swimming in the ocean/sea with dolphinsZombies, romance, a new place to visit, and more! This one was a RIDEEEEE!

First up, everyone who has been reading this series so far let’s raise our glasses! cheeeerrrs BECAUSE IT FINALLY HAPPENED. I won’t spoil what, but I am very happy, and the other characters are also very happy. Haha. It was a rollercoaster of emotions volume but I am so glad that it finally got to that point. I was just squeeing when it happened. It was dramatic, over the top, but YASSSS.

But yes, a lot of the volume is about two characters bickering about their feelings and both expecting the other to just talk about it, haha, which as you may guess is just not working out for anyone. I seriously was contemplating if I could go into this world for a hot second and just lock these two in a small room or something and not let them out. Haha. You are grown ass adults, get talking. Especially with the threat of the zombies you would think you want to get things across asap.

Next to my favourite idiots and their rollercoaster of feels, we are swimming with the dolphins (which I loved and I wanted to dive headfirst into it as well as that is on my list as well), we are marking another few activities done (though I had a laugh when they said they had done x of 100 but they only have 94 bucket list ideas so far), we explore the little town/island and see the warship that is parked there, and we meet new characters, including a doctor! I could definitely understand that Shizuka was tempted to go with him as she has dreams of becoming a doctor and this would be a perfect opportunity in a world without any universities or much people left.

There are also plenty of zombies, though I hope that we get a few more next time. Though it was terrifying as heck in various moments, especially THAT moment. I was like no no no nonoooo.

Oh, oh, I just LOVED the fourth wall breaking in the last two bonus chapters. The characters are visiting the studios for the anime and for the Netflix movie. They chat with their own voice actors, the check out the scenes of their own anime, and with the Netflix movie they even are allowed to be part of the zombie horde (which apparently in real life translated to both the mangaka to do that, haha). I just loved these chapters and it was so fun to see the actors drawn in the Zombie 100 style.

All in all, I love love this series and I love how there is never a dull moment. I love that these characters don’t just sit down in a sad place and try to survive that way but that they are still travelling and making the most of their days. I would love to be part of their group~ I cannot wait for the next volume!
