Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 13-4-2025
Afternoon,
Happy Sunday! Happy weekend! Hello and welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!
This week? Well, my dad gave me influenza/flu. Around Tuesday I started feeling under the weather and from that point on I have been mostly just taking it easy and lying on bed. Thanks dad 😆. Which did mean that reading-wise it was a fantastic week. I read books from my stack and books not on my stack (and not just the photography books from Library #3 but also books from my physical TBR that were calling for me) plus I read some Comics Plus books and manga. Yes, it sucked to have the flu again, but I am happy that it was at least the lite edition and not the bad edition from February.
What did I read from my TBR? What Feasts at Night (ohhh this was quite spooky), The Family Experiment (OMG, this may be my book of the year), It’s Watching (spoooooky and good), Frankie’s World (this was OK), Fruits (Love all the fun fashion, some were just wild though), Apparaten die ik heb gekend (another OK/so-so book), In Limbo (such gorgeous art and I liked the story as well).
I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Listen to Your Sister (Jamie was horrendous, Dre was meh, I felt for Calla, and didn’t like the racism/politics).
Here is a new stack of books! Well, most is what you all saw last week, but I added some other books from my physical TBR + a new library book~
A big big thank you all for reading my post! Let me know in the comments what your plans are this week (reading or otherwise) and tell me what you think of my stack! I hope everyone has a fantastic new week filled with good weather + fab books, enjoy!

Ohhh no 🙈 my dad also got the same but I ended up with another sinusitis instead. Idk if it’s because of allergies or whatnot, but I do these way too often now.
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on deep end; I have yet to pickup my copy of it yet.
Oh no! That is no fun/no good. Sinusitis is the WORST. I hope that it passes soon and you feel better (plus that it leaves you alone for a long while).
I should really get to it, but Hazelwood has so far not impressed me so I am a bit hesitant.
I hope you and your dad are feeling better this week Mehsi! So you can have a visit with him. Have a great week, take care of yourself, and enjoy your new stack of books!📚🍪☕👍🌞💜
Thank you, Susan! Good news, my dad is better again, but my body seems to not want to get 100% better. But there are still a few days until Friday, so who knows. Thank you, and so far I am enjoying them! ✨🌸🥰💖🌞
