Review: Camp Grandma and Grandpa

Review: Camp Grandma and Grandpa

Camp Grandma and Grandpa by Gina Bellisario, Chloe Burgett with two kids on the cover along with their grandparents both in camp outfitsI received this book from the publisher/Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I just love adorable and cute picture books, especially when they are just full of fun and not so much full with inspirational messages. Haha. This one was just wonderful!

In this adorable picture book we meet Leo and Tessa! They are off to stay overnight with their grandparents (who are super eager to see their grandchildren) but this isn’t going to be a normal overnight stay, oh no, grandma and grandpa made it all camp themed! Yep! Hugs are a bit more special. We are going to eat smores (no campfires because that wouldn’t be safe on a balcony, haha)! We are going on exciting hikes (at least with the power of imagination and the power of love things because much more exciting)! We are making tents and listening to scaryyyy tales (but not too scary because grandpa is terrified otherwise, which just made me laugh because it is normally the kids you keep an eye on). Then there are, just like with camping, spoooooky noises and I had fun seeing the kids discover what it was.

It was just so cute and fun and I loved seeing the kids have the time of their lives and see the grandparents being so so happy to see their grandkids. This really was a heartwarming book! I hope the kids will be able to stay overnight again soon!

The art, I really liked the art. It was such a fun and a bit kooky style of drawing and it fitted so well with the story. I liked the character designs!

All in all, if you want a heartwarming and fun story about grandkids visiting their grandparents and having the time of their life, be sure to check this one out!
