An 8-year old boy finds out that he is not just good with art, he can also do hair art!

😊 I liked that a bad haircut inspired J.D. to try and do it himself. I could definitely understand him. Next to clothes hair is what peeps will look at and with his haircut he isn’t having the best times. I loved that he took the reigns in his own hands and tried things out. Yes, it was a bit magical how easily it came to him and how he just seemingly did it right in one go and later on even did some advanced stuff that he never even truly practiced, but hey, maybe he is just that good, haha.
😊 I loved that he started with himself/his brother, then his best friend, and quickly had a small business going on and he was actively looking forward to doing things and even was planning fun things to do for his friends.
😊 That it was more than just hair. He really tried all sorts of styles and colouring them in (I tried googling if this was really a thing, but neither DuckDuckGo nor Google had any answers).
😊 That he decided to go for a big competition to see who was best. I loved how much effort he put into things and how he tried his best. Of course, it was predictable who would win.
😊 The art inside was a lot of fun.
😊 I liked the family and how close knit they were.
😊 I liked all the references to sports and shows. Especially Marvel was a big one.
😊 I love that it is set in a small town.

🤨 But sadly the ending ruined it for me and also the chances of me reading more of the series. What Vanessa did there, or well what mom approved of, what the actual heck? I was just pissed off and felt so sorry for J.D.
🤨 Then again, Vanessa was a hard character to like given how nosy she was and acted like she was way older than being in middle school (and I don’t mind acting older but acting as if you are part of the decision squad (grandma/grandpa/mom) is just nah).
🤨 Also didn’t like the youngest of the hair guys, I get that you want to talk to J.D. but going up to his house in the evening and talking to an 8-year old WITHOUT an adult? Heck no. That is just weird as heck.

🤔 How did J.D. buy a TV set + gaming console? He magically had a ton of money that is for sure, but I am not sure how J.D’s country is, but here an 8 year old cannot just go to the store HIMSELF and get a tv and gaming console. Not to mention, how did he bring it home? On his bicycle? Without either of his grandparents noticing? NAH, not believing that.

All in all, despite some things I had fun and I would still recommend it.
