Spring Equinox Celebrations Book Tag

Hi all!

Girl with a staff and a book moving left and right

A happy Monday and welcome to a new Book Tag! Hello to the Spring Equinox Celebrations Book Tag!

I came across this one in April on Booksare42 (check out their post) and knew I had to do this when I could make room on my blog, well today is the day! I really loved the prompts and I learned a new one (the one from Thailand). I would love to celebrate all of the parties, especially Hanami and Holi.

It was fun going through my book lists and find some fab books. I went with mostly books that are recently read over a mix of new/old.

Let’s get started! Oh, and if you plan on doing this one, be sure to tag me, I would love to see everyone’s answers~

😊Holi – India and Nepal – A festival of colour celebrating the end of the winter and the colourful season ahead – The most colourful book on your shelves.

It's Summerween! by Tammi Salzano, Gaby Zermeno, pineapple + watermelon + pumpkin all looking ready to party with various other characters in the border like a mummy or a witch

I pick this one! It is so bright, fun, cute, adorable, and just screams Spring/Summer sunny times~ The book itself was also a lot of fun to read (see review)

😊Teotihuacan – Mexico – A popular modern tradition to stand atop the pyramid on the Spring Equinox and soak up the sun’s first rays of the morning – A book that you consider a modern classic

Nah. There are tons of good books, but I am just not into the term of classic. Gives me high school no thank you vibes. So skip this one.

😊Songkran Water Festival – Thailand – A ceremony of cleansing and renewal. The biggest draw for tourists is the giant water fight – A book set on or around water
Mr Penguin and the Catastrophic Cruise by Alex T. Smith, penguin in life ring floatie thing with tentacles nibbling at him

As you may guess from the title this one takes place at a cruise, but also later on an island/underground cave or island. It was a super fun book filled with tons of humour, a great mystery, and well, I just love books taking place on a cruise. It is one of my dreams to go on a cruise, but for now that is a dream with the prices being as they are.

😊Hanami Season – Japan – A yearly tradition around enjoying the transient beauty of cherry blossoms – A book with flowers on the cover

Behind the Seams by Dolly Parton, Dolly Parton wearing one of her own dresses a pink one and looking fabulous

This wonderful book about Dolly! With her gorgeous fashion/outfits and all written in a way that it was just as if Dolly was next to me chatting about her life, fashion, dreams, and all the things she did. I loved it!

😊Stonehenge – UK – Druids and pagans gather in their hundreds to celebrate the Spring Equinox. Though most historians are fairly confident that it was likely a religious site, no one is quite certain of what Stonehenge actually is – A book with a good mystery

Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak, red cover with a picture of a house on it

This one. It has a terrifying ghost, scary art, a fabulous mystery, a MC you want to root for but that also gives vibes of being unreliable, and so much more. It was a ride. My review here.

The questions

😊Holi – India and Nepal – A festival of colour celebrating the end of the winter and the colourful season ahead – The most colourful book on your shelves.
😊Nowruz – Various (Persian) – The Persian New Year involving several days of celebrations and family gatherings – A book including or about a big family gathering
😊Teotihuacan – Mexico – A popular modern tradition to stand atop the pyramid on the Spring Equinox and soak up the sun’s first rays of the morning – A book that you consider a modern classic
😊Songkran Water Festival – Thailand – A ceremony of cleansing and renewal. The biggest draw for tourists is the giant water fight – A book set on or around water
