Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 18-5-2025
Hi all~
Happy Sunday, happy welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates~
This week was mostly your day to day stuff, along with the back garden now being done (which will go into this upcoming week as it is quite some work). I also visited Library #1, #2, and #4. I wanted to visit my dad, but I was just too tired to undertake the 3+ hour (back/forth) trip. The whole garden stuff is taking a lot out of me, I really have to make sure the plants were treated right (for most yes, though a couple of plants got killed/hurt due to the gardeners team (much to the gardener’s frustration that his team couldn’t keep a better watch) plus, I also have to be around to answer some questions (my hubby is good in the technical stuff, but design/plants, not so much, haha). But the garden is really shaping up and I am so excited for next week when the deck is getting made and the plants are discussed. Eep! Oh, and on Tuesday/Thursday I watched Eurovision with my hubby (go Claude!) and on Saturday we watched it with a friend. Plus, on Saturday I also made lemon cake and cinnamon roll cake, yum!
Reading-wise, a fab week, some DNF, some really great books, a dash of manga, some ARCs. I had a lot of fun.
What did I read from my TBR? Tokio Crush (this was such a fun read), The Bookshop Woman (I loved this one), Dior/Lindbergh (such a gorgeous book), Kraamwerk (fun), Het laatste jaar (I cried, this was such a good book), Textiel (I want all of those gorgeous samples (and more)), One Piece 42 to 46 (WOW WOW WOW, it just gets better and better), The Bellwoods Game (this was such a ride, spooky and fab), One Year on a Bike (loved this one).
I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? De Nanny (I hated one of the POVs), Moord aan tafel (meh). The Leftover Woman (meh, Rebecca was just not my cup of tea), The Hollow Places (my first Kingfisher that is a disappointment, the writing just felt weird and I think it could do with editing).
Here is a new stack! Full of new library books and some physical books I really need to read (sorry to Onyx Storm, even my hubby is now making jokes about it, haha).
A big thank you all for reading my post! Let me know in the comments what your reading plans are + what you think of my stack! I hope everyone has a fantastic week + weekend. Enjoy~
