The Firsts of 2025
Hello everyone!
Happy welcome all to a new shiny Book Tag, hello to The First of 2025!
I did this tag back in 2023 and I am guessing last year was just too hectic (this year also isn’t the easiest, but more relaxed than last year) to do it. But this year I am doing the tag again because I remembered how much fun I had, plus I keep seeing everyone do it so I just couldn’t resist any further. I had a lot of fun going through my Goodreads shelves and 2025 page to find everything I needed for the post!
And boy I had so much fun, I hope I can do this one again next year~
This tag was originally made by Tanya from girlxoxo. Her answers are a bit different from the 2023 edition that I found on various sites, so I just added those questions as well.
I actually read 3 books that day and unlike in 2023 I didn’t add a note which one was first. So here are the three books I read that day.
First Book Reviewed
No clue. Like in 2023, I don’t really keep track of things like that and I read quite a few books, not to mention sometimes it takes a while before I review something. Plus, sometimes it can take a while before the review pops up as I generally have a big scheduled posts bit. But my first long review of the year is for this book (yep, also one of my first books that year):
Read the review here.
First Book By A New-To-Me Author
Well, that is quite easy! On January 2nd I read this book:
which is both a new-to-me-author + a debut book! Read my review here.
First Book By an Author I’ve Read Before
Again the Stinetinglers book, haha.
First 5-star Rating
Haha, this whole post will be Stinetinglers at this point.
First Book That Slayed Me
Whoo, not the Stinetinglers book, haha, I will go for a book from January 20th which is the third book of that year rated 5+ stars, but the very first 5+ starred book that slayed me. The other two books (Happy Endings by Lucie Bryon and Monumentaal middelmatig) where both fantastic books, but this book by one of my favourite artists just BLEW me away. How she drew becoming blind was just WOW.
First Book That I Wish I Could Get Back The Time I Spent Reading It
This time I went for my very first 0.5 starred book (I got three this year) and that is this book:
This book was just horrendous. It had some shocking/disgusting moments, a lot of WTF is going on now, I was weirded out. I am still not sure why I didn’t just DNF, probably because I just kept hoping for it to get better.
