Review: Awe-Inspiring Lists About the Wonders of the World

Awe-Inspiring Lists about the Wonders of the World by Heather E Schwartz, Pink cover with the Colosseum Pyramids on itI received this book from Edelweiss/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

I saw this delightful looking book and of course I had to give it a try! I was curious what kind of things would be on the lists~

Before I start about all the good, I do want to say that it did get a tad repetitive/boring (and I had to shake my ADHD at times to focus) as it was just list after list after list. And yes, the book is lists about the Wonders of the World, but I had expected maybe some fun somethings in between to break things a bit, like quizzes, or puzzles, or maybe just a page or so with just photographs. Plus, in overall I would have liked more photographs as I would have liked to see more of the things on the list not just one or two selected.

In this book full of lists, we read about nature, geology, about attractions, about man and nature made things, about animals, the stars/moon, visitors at places, mysteries (eww spider or meat rain), and more. There is seriously a list for everything and I really love that, they went all out on it. I can just imagine how much fun it was to write this book and figure out which things to put on the lists (and now I would like to see which ones didn’t make it).

I want to see the rainbow mountain, and I didn’t even know there were so many coloured beaches (I heard of pink or red or white/yellow, but there are purple ones???), and there were other things that I loved reading about/finding out and now I wish I got unlimited travel funds so I can see it all with my own eyes!

All in all, a fun early-reader/beginner book full of lists about a lot of fun things. I would recommend it.
