New Releases I Hope to Read in September 2025
Hi everyone~!

A very happy vacation welcome to a new New Releases post! Today I am sharing the books I REALLY need in my life in September. And I got a lot of them.
This month (and for another 2 days) is my vacation time! So I relaxed a lot, read even more than usual, slept, played games, did a spot of LEGO, tons of walking, and also had a couple of days of doing fun activities (like going to Scheveningen for the Pokemon Go Road Trip which then led to visiting SeaLife and eating pancakes). So far it has been fantastic and while I could use another week or 2 to fully recharge, my inner battery is almost full so it is good. It was nice to take a break from blogging (or at least for most as I still did some things, like this post, or prepare some reviews). Though I am excited to get back into it again next week!
I also visited my dad on the 10th of August, and I was almost crying (only just stopped myself as I wasn’t sure how my dad would react to it) when I saw him. They upped his meds/changed his meds, and he was like he was a few months ago. Happier, recognised me better, he was delighted to see me and my hubby (who he recognised correctly this time), and I just gave him the biggest hug which he fully accepted. I hope that the meds keep working, because it was hard for him and for everyone around him the past months with how angry/depressed he was and how he just ignored everyone as much as he could. This was just much better, he was so much more relaxed, so much less confused. Happier.
Books-wise, well I got a TON TON TON of books to look forward to in September! A lot of horror (as expected), but also some humour and even a book with fairy tales. I am really excited about this month’s books, there are several that I have been waiting for since forever (You Are the Detective, Loki, Broken Dolls) so I cannot wait to add these books to my shelves. It is going to be a great month, if I can get all the books, and otherwise I got enough to look forward to.
What are you looking forward to this upcoming month? Anything from my list is also on your list? And do you have some more horror recommendations? Let me know in the comments!
