Review: Wednesday Wilson Looks on the Fright Side

Wednesday Wilson Looks on the Fright Side by Bree Galbraith, Morgan Goble, Girl with brown skin and curly hair making slimeI received this book from Edelweiss/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

πŸŽƒ Love that takes place around Halloween and we got to see ideas for Trick or Treating along with spooky plans to make it a fabulous party.
πŸŽƒ Love how business-savy the MC is and her fun ideas for businesses. I loved seeing how much she would do to make her plans a reality. Like with the slime that she was thinking long term instead of just getting people to visit her home for Halloween.
πŸŽƒ Illustrations are fab! I really enjoyed the style of the illustrations and the character designs are so fun!
πŸŽƒ Love the friendship between the characters.
πŸŽƒ I NEED ninja training stuff as well. Seriously, where do I sign up for that? Is there one for adults? Because my ADHD is just screaming to do all of the things that the kids did. From flying into foam blocks to climbing towers and shimmying on things.
πŸŽƒ Slime. I just LOVE slime. My ADHD isn’t one for fidget stuff (most make too much noise for my ADHD/autism or the noise annoys them) but it loves loves putty, slime and squishies. So I loved the business idea of Wednesday and I wish I could have stepped in because I really really wanted that glitter slime or the one with items in it. Maybe I will make things myself, it will be fun! I am happy we got a recipe with the book.
πŸŽƒ I loved that Wednesday has two moms! I am so happy that more and more books are showing different families.

πŸ˜’ Emmas can just fuck off. I hate bullies and I hate characters like that. They were just horrendous. Always gossiping, saying shitty things, ruining stuff. I just wanted them out.
πŸ˜’ I was so confused by the fact our MC’s brother is called Mister?????? Why???? Can you imagine later. This is Mister Mister? laughs to death
πŸ˜’ The moms… Geez, so your kid got money THAT THE PERSON THEMSELVES OFFERED. How horrific. Geez. Then again the moms were a strange type of person already with their no trick or treating. They could at least try something home made, something that is healthy but still appealing to kids.
πŸ˜’ The whole drama around the party and then in the end it was ALL OK??? What????? Make it make sense.

All in all, I am still happy I read this book, I had fun.
