Review: Our World: Vietnam

Review: Our World: Vietnam

Our World Vietnam by Nhung Tran-Davies, Xuan Le, little girl + her dog + her mom walking through the streets in VietnamI received this book from the publisher/Edelweiss in exchange of an honest review.

I just love travelling through books and this one looked super adorable and fun. And I can tell you, it was plus more!

In this adorable picture book we follow a little girl’s daily life in her country of Vietnam. We learn about food, about traditions, we even get to count til 3, we see her go to all sorts of places, and then of course in the end she goes back to bed. I had such a great time following this little girl and learning more about Vietnam. And yes, like many times, I wish I could step in and experience it for real.

What I also love is that we even get to learn some words + pronunciation. I had fun trying the words out and see how they felt. It is definitely an interesting language and I wouldn’t mind learning more about it.

Oh, and I loved the food. I even had fun looking up some of them and would love to try them out. Like the breakfast of sticky rice. I already make sticky rice at times, but this one also comes in more flavours and kinds, so I would love to give it a shot.

At the end all the words we learned come back along with some extra information. That is also a big bonus in my book, so thank you!

The art? That was so cute, fun, adorable, and I love how colourful it was!

All in all, I would love read more of the Our World books and I will see if I can find more! I would recommend this one to everyone in the need for some cute and fun and educational.
