Library Haul ~ 22-11-2025 (Library #3)
wavesHi!

Welcome to a new awesome Library #3 Haul! Yesterday I visited and I had such a good time!
This time the main branch WAS open. I checked when I woke up and checked before we went to make sure that it was open. Last time it was suddenly closed while I did check a few days prior and didn’t see any news. So I was excited that this time I would get to go to the big one and get some good books!
While wandering the ground floor’s new releases I quickly found 4 big boys (which I promptly dropped off with my hubby who was staying on the ground floor) and saw a few other books that I promised to return to if I had room left when I visited the other floors. I had fun going to the children’s/ya/graphic novel section and found several new books there as well. So I was quite happy with how things were going, my bag was filling up quickly! In the end I did have some room left (for 2 books) and I decided to see which of the new releases could come along with me, I had one that was really screaming my name (the Shosa book) and then it was a selection process to see which called me loudest after that. Haha. It was fun! I am really happy that I could visit this library because their photography books are always top-notch and they have such a wide selection. Plus, they even have several in English!
So I am excited about all these new book babies! So many fabulous non-fiction and graphic novels! What to read first? Well, I read Kale Kop yesterday, I just couldn’t resist, but as for the next one? I think De boom die alles zag, I am curious about what disasters are in that book (plus, if I like it as books by the author’s sister are mostly miss).

De boom die alles zag by Lotte Jensen
Zo overleef je op de maan by Joalda Morancy, Aaron Cushley
Kale Kop #5 by Serge Ernst

I wish our library was that big! Our main library is unfortunately still closed down. We had a hurricane come in last year that caused a lot of damage. And it’s going to take another year to get it fixed, so we’re essentially looking at a two-and-a-half-years without our main library.
Aww, I am sorry to hear that. Other than the damage is everyone OK? Do you have any other libraries near you or is it just that big main one?
