Review: Bizzy Bear: Camping Trip

Bizzy Bear Camping Trip by Benji Davies, bear and bunny and mouse having a fun camping trip and looking at the stars in the skyAn adorable cute board book about a little bear and his friends going camping!

I was looking around the library at their small English collection when I found this one (and later on several others in the series that I promised to pick up if I liked this one, well guess what I did when I went back, haha). I first noticed how cute the book itself looked, but then I saw it was by Benji Davies. An artist/writer that makes some gorgeous/fun reads and so this one went into the bag.

And boy I am so happy I picked this up. The book already starts fun at the cover! See our friends just chilling in their tent and looking around? Those stars in the background? You can move the slider on the right and the sky will show many more stars! I was so hyped and I hadn’t even opened the book yet. After some fun spins, I opened up the book and so the camping story started! We see Bizzy Bear and his two friends (a bunny and a mouse) go camping! They are very eager to go camping and I was happy I could come along with them. We see them bicycle to the camp to setting up the camp to a few fun other camping moments. It was just the cutest to see and I had fun pushing and pulling and touch all the sliders and seeing all the fun things happen as you did. Sometimes I pushed/pulled even more than once because it was just so fun. Yes, I am an adult, but I love books like this. They always make me smile.

The art was just the cutest, as expected from Benji Davies! It really feels like you are there with the friends at the campsite and I love that. So many little details and a cute art style!

Even my hubby had fun with this one. It was so cute to see him pick up the book after I read it and found out about the sliders and the hidden things. He was just fiddling with it and having a big grin on it. I promised him I would pick up others like this one.

All in all, this is one book I would recommend. Kids (and adults) will love it. Interactive, cute, and fun.
