A sweet and magical book! Twinkel is back!

I read this one in Dutch and wrote a review in September for my Dutch blog but decided I wanted to feature this book on my English blog as well. However I didn’t have any room for it until today, haha. My blog is full~

I was just delighted to see a new Twinkle book at the library. I read a couple of others and I always love how fun and magical they are.

In this adorable and magical book Twinkle and her class go to the library! Yep! But unlike of course our libraries this one is more magical, I loved the look of the library and I wanted to just step in several time throughout the story. Sniff the atmosphere, check out all those books, read them. Back to Twinkle and her class. They all have to pick one book and practice a new spell. One that reads the book out loud. Yup. Just like an audiobook, but then magical!

But you can already guess, Twinkle has some GIANT ideas that sound better than getting a book read aloud. What her plan is? Just let the whole book come to life. Yup. What could possibly go wrong, right? Well, pure chaos happens and I was just laughing so much at it all. And I was completely in stitches when we see that the teacher has ZERO idea what is happening around her. She is that deep into her own book (relatable). Good for Twinkle that she has help of her friends (who not just help but also cheer her up) and that she herself thinks of a big idea to help things get less chaotic and more normal. I was just having so much fun reading it all!

The illustrations were just absolutely adorable and sweet and that magic just popped out of the pages. However, I was confused. On the cover Sarah Warburton is mentioned, but in the book itself another illustrator is listed and with that said that she is imitating the Sarah Warburton style. Why? What? How? Why not just list that person then rather than Sarah Warburton. I was so excited for art by her and then it is someone who is just really good at copying them? Eh?? Weird!

But all in all, a magical and fun book and I enjoyed Twinkle’s adventures and I am looking forward to the next! I would recommend this book, perfect for lovers of magic and reading!
