Happy Wednesday! We are halfway through the week, whooo! Welcome all to a new Waiting on Wednesday, the second in the special Santa’s Wishlist edition. Christmas is coming and I want books!
And today’s chosen book is Maid to Skate by Suzushiro! I love maids, I love seeing people skateboard, so combining them sounds like the perfect concoction! And I need it so much. The cover is so much fun, a maid having an absolute blast on her skateboard while holding her groceries (and losing perhaps a few, haha). I am also curious how many maids we will see and what kind of tricks they will be doing + if they will be doing housework while skateboarding (now that is a sight I want to see, a maid skateboarding by and doing the windows).
So please Santa, bring me this one (though it may be a tight schedule one given it releases just 9 days before Christmas and I know how slow Amazon is with those new releases). But still I will keep on hoping!
In this world, maids go about their everyday lives dressed in long black dresses, frilly aprons—and skate shoes?! Whether they’re running errands or hitting the half-pipe, these maids shred the town. Like witches have their brooms, these ladies have their boards. If one thing’s certain, these maids are totally Maid to Skate.
