Library Haul ~ 11-12-2025 (Library #1)
Greetings!

Welcome all to a new Library #1 Haul! It was high time to visit again~
I only had one book left to read and that meant I had 14 room for new books. And that meant I just had to go and pop by the library again. Plus, I had 2 reservations waiting for me. I was hoping to find plenty of new books to bring home, and well, I can tell you I sure had a workout, haha. One of my reservations turned out to be a chonker (the cat book). I knew it wouldn’t be small but I hadn’t expected this, it barely fitted in my bag.
I had fun walking around the library and at one point stalking a librarian as he was putting in new non-fiction books. I do love a good non-fiction book! Eventually he noticed me stalking (and grabbing books as he put them down) and held up a few books to see if I wanted them, to which the answer for most was YES PLEASE. They even added the newest baking book by Rutger van den Broek which I already wanted dearly. So that is how I ended up with quite a few fabulous looking non-fiction books.
And then I went upstairs to the children/YA section and found 2 books that I had reserved but that were still in transport… despite only being available at this library branch, mmmmm. So I went to have a chat with the librarian who told me she couldn’t cancel the reservations (as they were in transit) but that I could just take them home. There are no fines apparently in this library for not picking up reservations, I know some of my other libraries do have that. So yay! Plus, I also brought book 3 home with me, because if this series is anything like the first series by the author I won’t be able to stop. And with his previous series I had to constantly wait a while for books to come out, so it is great I can now binge this new series.
And I also found some other books as I walked by (including one I definitely hadn’t expected by Alina Tysoe) and I had to skip a visit to the picture book section as I was at my limit. Next time picture books, next time!
So I got plenty to read and I cannot wait to start reading! I currently want to focus on the books I selected for this week’s TBR, but next week? Other than the ARCs, I will be reading books from this library!
