A world full of monsters all wanting world domination… except for Hachiro who just wants to eat good food and collect fun new items.

I have had my eyes on this series for a while! Imagine my utter delight when I popped by Library #4 and saw it there. I just HAD to bring it home with me. I finally could read it and also perfect for Spooktober!

😍 LOVE Hachiro/Nr. 28, he is a Fear who encountered ice cream and decided to live in the human world as he was just so mesmerized by it all. He was such a fun character, definitely one you want to root for and see what other fun things he finds in the human world (food and other things). Plus, I love how he kick Fears asses if he encountered them, generally he kicks their butt because they are a) annoying b) destroyed something he wanted to eat, which just made me laugh so hard. I was like, oh no guys, don’t do it, he has a snack! I also love seeing him become more and more human as the story went on. See him do odd jobs. Plus, I am kinda rooting for him to become a hero, wouldn’t that be awesome?
😍 Unbelievables, aka 3 idiots aka Hachiro’s favourites. I am still not entirely sold on these 3 idiots, OK, Unbelievable 1 at least seems to have some sense. But the others? Nah. I do want to punch them for being so horrible towards Hachiro. I mean, yes, he is a monster, but hello he was helping you? He was kicking that monster’s butt? All he wanted was an autograph?
😍 I did like that we get to see more of one of the Unbelievable trio and see him get closer to Hachiro, which leads to some hilarious situations as Hachiro will talk about his hero alter ego and he has no idea how to respond.
😍 Hachiro’s family. His dad (Frankenstein, yes, really), the butler (who is so hot swoons), the maids (clones), the head maid (who is hot swoons more). It was such a hoot to see the POV of his dad. Hachiro is done with his dad, but his dad now regularly pops in to visits (and yes brings everyone along). I really like the dad though he is kind of an asshole at times, but I like that he gives Hachiro a chance. Plus, I love that he is not letting anyone screw him over (RIP those fears).
😍 The Fears and their names and designs. They were both hilarious and terrifying. Love it!
😍 The art! I love the designs of the monsters/fears, but also everything around them.
😍 The humour is just so on point and I had so much fun, I was just laughing myself silly at times.

All in all, I want more of this series and I hope that the library adds Volume 2 ASAP. I would recommend this one for lovers of monsters and those that love a healthy dose of humour.
