waves Hello!

Happy Sunday/Happy weekend and welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates!

So a very relaxing week! With good food, fireworks, gaming, finishing a book nook (with some help of my hubby as my ADHD just wanted to burn it, haha), I baked a yummy lemon cake, and even more relaxing! We also got some snow and it made me really happy, the day before the world outside was also white but with hail and that is just not the same. So I had fun walking around in the snow when it was around. Plus, I also visited Libraries #1 (on Monday) and #3 (on Saturday). Good good times! I am enjoying my vacation to the max~
Reading-wise. Well, I tried reading from my TBR, but got distracted by new Library #1 books + ComicsPlus. But a very very good week! I started off the year in a good way with TWO 5+ starred books~ dances

What did I read from my TBR?  Night at Vampire Castle (WOW, this was so fun and I loved every moment of it), Feral (SO GOOD!)

I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)?  Haunted Ever After (Nick was such a red flag, the chemistry was none, too much banana bread with cinnamon, too little ghosts), How Bad Things Can Get (I think I am just done with islands and deadly games, I would have liked more cult stuff).

And here is a new stack! Not on it are my two Christmas Haul books (which are downstairs with the other Christmas books).I added some new library books to the mix as I visited Library #3 (see earlier post for my complete haul). I am very excited about this stack. I still have one week of vacation left, so more reading and relaxing ahead of me.

Sunday's TBR Stack of Books

Thank you all for reading and I hope that everyone is having a good 2026 so far. Thanks for the love for my blog this past week + your shares + sweet comments! As I asked last week, let me know if you have any fun suggestions for my blog, I am always looking forward to add new content, and I got some ideas myself, but curious what people would like to see. Plus, let me know in the comments what your book plans are, is anything from my stack on your list? A very happy weekend to all + a fantastic week!

  1. Mehsi!!!!I love lemon cake!! Is the recipe easy or intense?😁
So um, I noticed your birthday on your Goodreads profile……..that’s not real right?🤦‍♀️
Have a fantastic week of reading and be well!⛄☕📚💜

    1. It is super easy! 200 grams of sugar, 200 grams of butter (room temperature), 1 lemon (to zest/grate (only the yellow bit)), 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 4 eggs (room temperature), 200 grams of flour, 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. That is for the cake. You mix the butter, lemon rasp, pinch of salt, and sugar together till it is smooth, then slowly add eggs, and lastly the floor and baking powder. Put it in a tin/baking shape of choice for 55-65 minutes on 160C oven (not sure what that would be in fahrenheit but I am sure the internet can help with that). Then while it is baking you grab some powdered sugar (75 grams) + juice of one lemon (yup the lemon we just used) and mix it together. Then when the cake is ready and still hot you poke holes (with a skewer) in the cake (to the bottom, but you can also just do a few holes up to the middle of the cake) and then apply the powdered sugar/lemon mix to the cake and spread it evenly over it. Thanks to the many holes the mix will spread through the cake. Then wait for 10-15 minutes and take the cake out of whatever you baked him in and let him cool further. And tadah! Yummy lemon cake!

Haha, I had to insert a birthday or it would go wonky but I refuse wholeheartedly to show my real age. XD

Thank you, and the same wishes for you! ❤❤
