Sunday’s TBR Updates ~ 1-2-2026

Good afternoon all!

A fluffy welcome to a new Sunday’s TBR Updates and a happy weekend/Sunday to all!

So this week was mostly just day to day things, recovering more from my cold (and I am now fully better again, whoo). Taking care of my hubby who is feeling under the weather (which also meant bringing all the snacks, sweets for his throat, and making treats). I visited Library #2 on Wednesday, #4 on Friday and #3 on Saturday. So many fabulous books!
On Friday I baked two things, a new recipe Potato Chip Cookies (see my BlueSky here) and trying out a recipe I tried before which didn’t work as I didn’t have the right syrup, thankfully I have found an expat store near the new Library #4 main branch location which had what I needed. The first recipe (PCC) worked like a charm delighting me, my hubby, and my neighbours. The last one worked out much better, it wasn’t a brick this time, but it was still not entirely solid so now I have chunks and loose oats (which I put in my yoghurt and it was so yum). Check my Bluesky for a photograph of that.
So all in all, a good week! I am really happy with everything! Oh, and today I hope I have visited my dad (writing this one Saturday eve).
Reading-wise, a fabulous week as well. I had some DNFs but also plenty of great reads from my stack + ComicsPlus~

What did I read from my TBR? Dichter (this was a fun read), Tokyo Fears Rhapsody #2 (ohhhh so good, loved the action, the references, and the humour), Naar het Noorden + Achter de Bergen (this was so good, he has such a great writing style), Murdle Junior (I had a lot of fun with this one though I didn’t like how the cover/inside illustrations didn’t match).

I tried and dropped (and at least tried a chapter or so)? Almost Nothing Happened (yawn), Guncle (he was so condescending towards the kids and kept making odd remarks that were fun at first, but after x times it was nope).

And here is a HUGE HUGE stack of books. I just couldn’t pick from my normal-sized books that I got from Library #4 (Friday) and #3 (Saturday). So of course I just grabbed them all. Plus, not listed on this one are the books next to my bed (the big boys) which I also want to try out. So I got plenty to read!

Stack of books

Thank you all for reading my post + all my other posts this week! And all the love (comments, likes, sharing). Thank you! Oh, and I am also happy that I got such a positive responsive on my newest post Community Posts I Adored. I hope everyone has a fantastic week/weekend, may it be filled with many books!

  1. Yum!! Chocolate chip cookies with potato chips!! What more could a girl want! They look delish! Not too sure about those oat cookies though!😂 I would just add it to my yogurt or something like that! I’m glad to hear you are all better now Legal and I hope your husband is too! Great stack of books you have there! I hope you love them all. Of course, you probably already read them all!😂😂🌞⛄☕📚💜

    1. I know right! Everything you want in one thing, YUM! Haha, well they taste delicious though. Thank you, and my hubby is improving, the antibiotics are helping, though he has some big coughing fits a few times a day which is no fun. Thank you, and so far it is a bit hit/miss but I have some I really enjoyed. And no, I am not done yet, haven’t had that much time to read + I have another book to the mix that I bought yesterday and hope to finish today (or early tomorrow). Hope you also have great week! 💖💖💖
